Copilot Engineer
Overview
We are currently hiring for day shift, 2nd shift (4:00 PM to Midnight) and 3rd shift (Midnight to 8:00 AM).

Manager, Copilot Support
Responsibilities- As a Copilot Engineer this position is responsible for assisting with problem determination and problem resolution with level 2 and level 3 complexities in a 7 by 24 environment. This position will be second shift or a weekend shift and requires an on-call holiday rotation.
- Copilot Engineers will be creative in delivering solutions in preventing or resolving system configuration challenges. Due to interconnectivity of other vendor products (switches, servers, etc) it will be necessary for the Copilot Engineer to perform these duties with the “big picture” in mind. Copilot Engineers are responsible for proactive Customer service duties that assist Business Partners and End User in maximizing the Storage Center capabilities.
- This position will interact with both technical and non-technical personnel and must be able to communicate effectively via telephone, email, and in person. Copilot Engineers will focus on “post sales” support but may assist with “pre sales” activities as needed. Travel (Domestic & International) on short notice and overnight stay is likely with this position. Must have readily available and reliable transportation.
Qualifications- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, 2 year technical degree, or equivalent working experience.
- Minimum 2 years Customer Support experience in data process, data communications or related environment is a plus.
Education / ExperiencePreferences- In-depth knowledge in the following areas: SAN technology and Open systems technology.
- "Hands on" experience with switch fabric configuration, monitoring, and support a plus.
- Any network operating system certifications with Novell, Microsoft, Linux, and Sun
