Compellent Receives 2010 “Best of the Tests” Award
Network World names Compellent winner in storage category
Network World tested more than 100 products in 2009, in a wide variety of categories, but only 15 of those products were deemed to be “head and shoulders above the rest.” Compellent’s mix of high performance, ease of use, broad feature set and overall value contributed to its being selected as the winner in the storage category.
Award Highlights from Network World
- “Mature, easy to use and operating at the block level, [Data Progression] is more usable than the recently released and widely publicized LUN-level automated storage tiering from one of the big names in SAN technology.”
- “The biggest differentiator for Compellent may be its ease of use. While most SAN systems offer similar functionalities, a system that can set up remote replication over the Internet to another SAN in six mouse clicks is noteworthy.”
- “With the ability to add multiple shelves of drives to a single controller, and control multiple controllers through a single administrative interface, the Storage Center can easily grow in both capacity and performance to extremely high levels.”
