Milan, Oct. 22, 2010 – Compellent (NYSE: CML) customer Bankadati has won the ‘Best Virtualisation and Server Consolidation Project’ category at the Best of VMworld Europe 2010 User Awards. The award recognises companies for their use of virtualisation to reduce costs, innovate, and enhance performance and business processes.

Bankadati deployed a virtual server and storage environment powered by VMware ESX and Compellent Fluid Data™ storage. Bankadati won the award due to the way the new virtualised environment improved application performance, simplified management and introduced business process efficiencies.

More than 80 IT projects were submitted and reviewed for the award. Winners were announced on-site at VMworld Europe in Copenhagen, Denmark, on October 13th.
