Rivals.com Selects Compellent SAN to Support Explosive Subscriber and Content Growth
Leading sports Web site can now expand capacity in two minutes instead of two hours; lowers storage costs by 40 percent

Compellent’s Thin Provisioning and unlimited capacity expansion enable Rivals.com to support rapid content and subscriber growth.
Rivals.com has more than 20 million page views each day and supports more than 170,000 active online subscribers. Over the next 8-10 months, Rivals.com expects its photo and video archive to double in size as user-generated content ramps up and video files continue to be added to the site.

Thin Provisioning also eliminates the time-consuming capacity planning process that was required with its previous storage systems. IT administrators at Rivals.com now spend less time provisioning storage, expanding and assigning volumes and manually tracking volume utilization.
