Around The Block Blog

After a late night out or an early morning flight, conference and trade show attendees need something to get the morning presentations started off on the right note. Some resort to loading up on coffee and having a hearty breakfast, while others get the adrenaline pumping with the right tunes. At C-Drive 2010, we received a very positive response to the music selection before each keynote presentation. A few, including @johnmharte, @steveathanas, @mattbrauchler and @m1kew1lson tweeted about the excellent music choices at C-Drive. We’re glad everyone liked the song choices. Others came up to us and asked to share the playlist, so here it is:

"It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)" – AC/DC

“Unchained” – Van Halen

“Are You Gonna Go My Way” – Lenny Kravitz

"Oh Yeah!" – Chickenfoot

“You Could Be Mine” – Guns N’ Roses

"Living After Midnight" – Judas Priest

“25 Miles” – Edwin Starr

“Enter Sandman” – Metallica

In previous years, we had gone with a little more traditional rock n’ roll -- think BTO’s “Taking Care of Business” instead of Metallica’s “Enter the Sandman”.  We’re all still BTO fans here, but I felt like we needed to amp it up a bit this year.  Over the course of a week driving to work, I rifled through the majority of the songs on my iphone via the Microsoft Synch/Bluetooth system in my car, and I narrowed it down to some songs that really got my blood pumping faster.  If you have any suggestions for what you’d like to hear next year, please leave us a comment, tweet me @ScottHorst or email me directly at shorst@compellent.com.
