TheInfoPro's Wave 8 Storage Study Shows Compellent As Leading Emerging Vendor in "Promise" and "Fulfillment"
Minneapolis, Dec. 18, 2006 — Compellent Technologies, a provider of affordable and modular enterprise storage solutions, today announced that Compellent has received the highest ratings as an Emerging Vendor in TheInfoPro’s Wave 8 Storage Study. The Study, delivering detailed budget, vendor performance and technology data in six month increments called "Waves," included interviews with IT professionals from Fortune 1000 and Midsize Enterprises. Of the vendors listed, including 3PAR, EMC, EqualLogic, Hitachi Data Systems, NetApp and Pillar Data Systems, Compellent received the highest customer ratings on both the "Promise" and "Fulfillment" Indexes.
TheInfoPro is the only independent research network of IT Professionals for the Information Technology industry. The Wave Studies include a "Promise Index" - which measures customer ratings on each vendor's technical innovation, competitive positioning, strategic vision and reputation - and a "Fulfillment Index" - which measures customer ratings of product value, quality, delivery of promise and technical support.
The most recent Wave 8 Storage Study shows:
- Compellent's Fulfillment Index score was 100; the single highest score within the report (the mean for all vendors was 74 out of 100)
- Compellent’s Promise Index score was 88; the single highest score within the report (the mean for all vendors was 66 out of 100)
