Presentation Will Discuss Improving Disaster Recovery with Operating Systems and Storage Virtualization WHAT Compellent customer Wolfgang Goerlich, network operations and security manager at Munder Capital Management, will present “Simplifying Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Using OS and Storage Virtualization” at Storage Networking World Spring 2008 during the “Business Continuity / Data Protection” track.
WHYGoerlich’s end-user case study presentation will examine how Munder Capital Management’s disaster recovery (DR) process evolved from tape backups to a SAN and from cold to hot sites. Goerlich will discuss the lessons learned from each of these DR strategies; the available strategies for simplifying business continuity planning and speeding DR; basic business impact analysis to enable better budgeting for DR technologies; and the use of operating system and storage virtualization to automate data recovery.
